Road trip to Hana Uncle Georg was an amazing guide! Our kids are 10 and 12 and they both loved it as well. The lunch from Uncle Russell in Hana was extraordinary as well. He was so personable and made a 10 hour day, feel like it was just a few hours. The road to Hana is more about the journey and not the destination. Native to Maui, and full of aloha spirit, he shared many stories of Maui passed down through the generations as well as life stories. He has a wealth of knowledge that he shared in an engaging fashion, interspersed with light hearted humor. The Road to Hanna is a beautiful trip to see undeveloped old Hawaii and meet some of the kind and generous residents along the way. Homemade banana bread, fresh fruit and other delectables are available at many stops. I highly recommend a tour guide to navigate the many bends and turns on this narrow road, and Glenn was an exceptional expert driver who has driven this road his entire life; he has even driven a tanker truck in this road!read moreread less

Normand L3/24/2024Hana trip and banana bread. A no hassle pick up from our hotel at Ka’anapali beach. There were seven in our group. Larry was the driver and guide. He is a very safe driver who knows all about the area, and was in no hurry , he made sure to park off the side of the road so it was safe to get out of the van to see the sights, and I really appreciated his help getting in and out. There is a lot to see so take your time and enjoy. He knows a great deal about the history of the north shore of Maui, and about the plants and animals we encountered.
