This was my second and my Wife's third trip experiencing the Road to Hana. Our Guide and Driver John Calle was both knowledgeable and entertaining regarding things to see on "the Road" and many historical aspects of Maui and Hawaii. Just Do It!
First rate service and tour of Road to Hana! We were picked up promptly at our resort and our Driver/ Tour guide Tom was personable, fun and extremely knowledgeable about the islands history and the people of Maui. Food and drink were provided which was better than expected and plenty of it, along with plenty of bathroom breaks. The van was comfortable and limited to 8 guests and we had a good group. We were so glad we didn't drive it ourselves because Tom showed us sooooooo many things we would have driven right by. If you're not sure about taking the tour or driving yourself...do yourself a favor and take the tour and enjoy the Road to Hana!!!read moreread less

We saw incredible scenery along the trip, managed all the curves around mountains and found some unique spots for food and swimming. Waterfalls were nice but pictures were hard to get. Trip was long. If there was a way to make it a little shorter, that would work. BBQ lunch was fantastic. We went on the rainiest day of the year - 10 inches of rain, land slides, trees down, etc. Our driver was super safe at avoiding any road issues (he has done this tour over 2900 times!! We still had a great time. the waterfalls were ROARING all the rain, so amazing. We saw the black sand and red sand beaches, ate at the place Gordon Ramsey says has the best hulu chicken. Its a good Thing ED kept it interesting with the amount of info he bonbarded us with, also his mastery of the road is definitely a plus, food was just OK, you can remove the pulled pork from the menu though, the transport though is not ideal for tall people.read moreread less

The Hāna experience was not to be missed! Ed was absolutely amazing as a driver we felt completely safe and he was all about our comfort and well being. His rendition of the history of Maui was riveting and a huge highlight. As a guide he was top notch and so entertaining.
